The CIUSSS' mission

Carte géographique délimitant le secteur du CIUSSS Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal

To ensure an effective integration of the services available to the population, each centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS):

  • is at the core of a territorial services network (RTS);
  • has the responsibility to ensure the delivery of healthcare and services to the population in its territory, including public health;
  • assumes a population-based responsibility towards the population in its territory;
  • oversees the organization of services in its territory and their complementarity within the multiple missions of the CIUSSS (hospital centres, CLSC, long term care facilities, youth and family centres, rehabilitation centres) and according to the needs of its population and territorial realities;
  • enters into agreements with other establishments and partner organizations in its RTS (university health centres, medical clinics, family medicine groups, network clinics, community organizations, community pharmacies, external partners, etc.).

The services that you receive from the MAB-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre remain unchanged. The MMRC, as part of the newly formed CIUSSS and through its many programs and services, will continue to carry out its mission of providing specialized and ultra-specialized adaptation, rehabilitation, and social integration services to persons with a significant and persistent disability, as well as its research and teaching activities.
